Oreo launches new cookie edition to celebrate Pride month in US

Joining the Pride month celebrations in June, Oreo has partnered with PFlag National – a US-based family and ally organisation – to launch a new retail Pride pack for its chocolate sandwich cookies. 

This is the third year Oreo has partnered with PFlag National on campaigns for the LGBTQ+ community. 

The product features rainbow packaging designed with wording to support the LGBTQ+ community. Some of the messages of love and support include: “You inspire me to live authentically every day”, “You’re too beautiful to hide” and “Stay true to your heart”.

Oreo leaves a space in the centre of the pack so that customers can write meaningful messages of their own. The brand says its goal is to make the world a more accepting, affirming, and compassionate place, by continuing to support the LGBTQ+ community by spreading their stories and values. 

In addition, the chocolate wafer cookies with original creme inside are also embossed with the words “Proud” on them, replacing the Oreo logo on the original version.
