MasterFoods has launched two new herb and spice blends in its Cafe Style range.
The flavours are Everything Eggs Spice Blend – an aromatic seasoning blend of chives and paprika, best paired with eggs – and Cafe Style Avocado Smash Spice Blend, a mix of dill and parsley, suitable for sprinkling on avocado smash, dip or spread.
MasterFoods senior brand manager, Dominique Caruana, said as the cost of living rises, more people can recreate their favourite meals at home.
“Brunch now accounts for 20 per cent of out-of-home meal occasions, with eggs and avocado smash as the signature dishes of the great Aussie brunch.”
Mars Food Australia portfolio marketing manager, Rachel Humphrey, said this is a ‘significant milestone’ for the company as it marks the first foray for herbs and spices outside of dinner.
“This is the first time we have targeted the millennial weekend staple of brunch,” she said.
The spice blends are vegan friendly, with no artificial colours, preservatives or flavours. The new range is now stocked by Coles, while Woolworths will sell them from August.
