Byron Bay-based health food brand We the Many has unveiled “mono-material” recyclable packaging across its range.
The launch coincides with the brand’s recent partnership with Woolworths, which will stock its gourmet breakfast range – Prebiotic Granola, Antioxidant Granola, Turmeric Granola, and Antioxidant Porridge – in the supermarket chain’s new “Health Food Pantry” aisle.
Produced locally in NSW Northern Rivers, the breakfast range is preservative, additive-free, non-GMO and vegan friendly.
Will Brook, co-founder of We the Many, said the company’s product packaging is now made from mono-material soft plastic, a single polymer plastic that can be recycled back into a high-value product with multiple uses.
A recent report predicts the mono-material market will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 3.8 per cent by 2025 and is driven by the need for easier-to-recycle polymer formats.
“Investing in the climate is as simple as starting your everyday breakfast choice,” says Brook.
The company has invested in green bonds since its launch in 2020 to support initiatives to tackle climate change and has a target of $100,000 for its next investment.
“We want to integrate business and invest in the climate as a commercial solution that, over time, can make an even bigger impact on the climate as our investments and business growth,” says Brook.
We the Many’s gourmet breakfast range, is now available in 332 Woolworths stores nationwide.
