Beverage company 23rd Street Distillery has released an alcohol-free canned RTD Signature G&T, just in time for Dry July.

The distillery says the new drink maintains the authentic flavour of the brand’s gin and tonic, using the same master-distilled botanicals and Riverland citrus – but in a sugar-free sparkling tonic base and without the alcohol.

Available in a 300ml can, each serving is just 4.3 calories, gluten-free, and free from artificial flavours.

The can’s artwork was designed by Adelaide artist Claire Ishino whose work is inspired by nature, words, thoughts, emotions, and her love of colour, pattern and repetition. She spent several years in Japan before returning to Adelaide, creating gouache and acrylic paintings.

Renee Bezzina, group communications manager at 23rd Street Distillery, said it was important for the company to have something for everyone.

“With our non-alcoholic Signature G&T, we wanted to offer the authentic gin experience. We followed the same process, used the same ingredients we do for all our 23rd Street Distillery gins, and simply decreased the alcohol until there was none left,” said Bezzina.

“Whether you’re going dry in July or you’re just looking to reduce your alcohol intake, our Non-Alcoholic Signature G&T is the perfect authentic, full-flavoured non-alcoholic option.”

The drink is available nationwide from independent supermarkets and liquor stores, direct from the distillery in Renmark, and online via Sippify.
