Confectionery brand Darrell Lea has teamed up with Nomad Brewing Co to release two limited-edition liquorice stout beers.

The Darrell Lea Batch 37 Dark Chocolate Liquorice Stout infuses bitter dark chocolate and Darrell Lea’s Batch 37 liquorice while the new Darrell Lea Rocklea Road Chocolate Stout presents what the brands describe as “a velvety chocolate flavour with a hint of nuttiness and the scent of marshmallows”.

Aymin Diab, senior marketing manager at Darrell Lea, said: “Every Father’s Day, our liquorice range, including the Batch 37 and bullets, are Australia’s top choice for gifting.”

This is the second time the brand has collaborated with the Sydney-based brewery to release craft beers.

Kerrie Abba, Owner of Nomad Brewing Co, said the brewery sold out of the Darrell Lea Liquorice beer in under 24 hours last year.

“We’ve made sure to double our production and introduce a brand new flavour so everyone can enjoy their beer along with a block of Darrell Lea chocolate or a packet of Batch 37.”

Both beers retail for $75 per eight-pack of 440ml cans and $45 for a four-pack of mixed or single flavour cans. They are available nationally across select retailers and online.
