Following the success of its plant-based milk range, Vitasoy is expanding its offering with the launch of plant-based yogurts.

According to the company, the yogurt was designed to give the same experience as traditional thick and creamy Greek-style yogurts.

The dairy-free yogurts are made from soy and are available in four flavours: Greek Style Plain, Hint of Vanilla, Hint of Strawbery, and Hint of Mango and Passionfruit.

“This new product launch has been many years in the making, and is incredibly exciting for the future of our brand,” said Nick Bartram, marketing and strategy director of Vitasoy Australia.

“We’ve applied the same care and consideration we use in our plant-based milk products to create the perfect plant-based yogurt.

“The result is a nutritionally balanced, creamy and – most importantly – tasty Greek-style Soy Yogurt which is delicious on its own, or can be used as easily in a smoothie or breakfast bowl as it can as an ingredient in other meals.”

Rachael Adams, nutrition insights manager at Vitasoy, said that they made sure their range of plant-based yogurts deliver essential nutrients like protein, calcium, and vitamin C.

“Our ambition was to create a plant-based yogurt that makes it easier for people to reach their recommended daily intakes while tasting delicious – which is why we fortified this recipe with calcium, vitamin D and vitamin B12- which are particularly important in a vegetarian or plant-based diet,” she explained.

“We think we’ve cracked the code on plant-based yogurt and are proud of our 4.5 – 5 health star ratings across the range.”
