Koko Black x Four Pillars create gin-infused pralines for Mother’s Day

Artisanal chocolatier Koko Black has collaborated with Four Pillars to create four new pralines for Mother’s Day inspired by the liquor brand’s most popular gins, Bloody Shiraz, Rare Dry, Fresh Yuzu, and Olive Leaf.

The Fresh Yuzu Gin praline combines the smoothness of cocoa with herby green tea and tangy yuzu for a delicate flavour, while the Rare Dry Gin praline boasts a “botanical, fruity harmony”.

In contrast, the Olive Leaf Gin praline uses dark chocolate with rosemary, olive oil, and sour lemon to prove that the chocolatier is “no stranger to creativity”, while the Bloody Shiraz Gin praline accentuates sour cherry with cocoa for a “category-defying” dessert.

Head chocolatier Remco Brigou said he is thrilled to share these creations with Four Pillars.

“Four Pillars is a brand that prides itself on bringing out the luxurious and complex notes of gin,” said Brigou.

“We have always admired their use of Australian native botanicals like lemon myrtle, and we look forward to bringing these exquisite and daring flavours to chocolate lovers.”

Aside from the new praline flavours, the collab also created four bespoke cocktails inspired by the desserts, which will be included in the guides within the packages.

“The Koko Black team have used four of our gins as the starting point for four sensational chocolates, and in turn have taken those chocolates as inspiration for four delicious matching cocktails,” added Matt Jones.

The Koko Black x Four Pillars Gin pralines are available at Koko Black’s in-store or online until May 14.
