Peters Drumstick launches new cleanup campaign, unveils new flavours

Peters Drumstick and Clean Up Australia team up for second year, unveil new flavours

Peters Drumstick has partnered with Clean Up Australia and celebrity chef and sustainability advocate Andy Allen. Together they will launch “Let’s Clean Up Our Backyard”, an initiative that aims to encourage Aussies to protect the environment by addressing rubbish in their local communities – beginning with their backyards.

This is the second year the ice cream company has collaborated with Clean Up Australia, pledging an additional $250,000 to produce free Clean Up Kits.

Allen shared that he participates in Clean Up Australia annually and looks forward to partnering with Peters Drumstick.

“I didn’t realise as a kid when I was carrying around the Clean Up Australia Day bag, picking up rubbish around my primary school, that sustainability would become such an important part of my life as an adult,” he recalled.

“It has come full circle for me, so by supporting Clean Up Australia, a cause close to my heart, I hope to help inspire Aussies to engage in a cause that positively impacts our environment.”

Along with the campaign, the ice cream company has also unveiled two new flavours for its drumstick range: Iced Latte and Raspberry Brownie.

Iced Latte contains a blend of vanilla and coffee with an espresso syrup and choc sprinkles. Raspberry Brownie is made with vanilla ice cream, choc brownie, and raspberry sauce topped with brownie pieces.

Consumers interested in participating in the campaign can order their kits by scanning the QR code on the drumstick four-pack (new flavours only) or by visiting the Clean Up Australia x Drumstick website.

“Like Andy, we at Peters Ice Cream are passionate about protecting our beautiful environment, and we’re calling on all Australians to get involved locally to do their bit by helping to clean up their neighbourhood,” added Andrea Hamori, head of marketing, Peters Ice Cream.

“While it was encouraging to see 750,000 Australians participating in Clean Up Australia Day last year, we still have a huge job ahead of us to protect our environment.”

Peters Ice Cream is available in supermarkets, petrol stations, and convenience stores nationwide at an RRP of $9.50 for a four-pack and RRP of $.80 for individual serves (Iced Latte flavour only).
