Mimi Haircare for Kids has launched its range at 530 Chemist Warehouse stores nationwide. The range includes a hair wash, detangler spray, hair brushes, and silk pillowcases.
Emma Mackenzie, founder and mother of two, shared that she started the company after her frustration finding better options for kids’ hair care.
“Kids’ haircare is stressful. Ask any parent, and I guarantee they will agree,” said Mackenzie.
“Three years ago, on an average Tuesday morning, whilst cutting a matted mess out of my daughter’s hair, I threw my hands up and proclaimed for the last time. That’s it, I am going to do something about this.”
To address this issue, Mackenzie said she worked with leading chemist formulators to develop a plant-based hair wash formulated with organic extracts to clean and nourish hair with one product that is free from harmful chemicals, allergens, and irritants.
Moreover, unlike most shampoos that contain sulphates, Mimi’s shampoo is sulphate-free, preventing the stripping of hair’s natural oils that make it difficult to brush and brittle.
“We welcome Mimi at Chemist Warehouse stores, as it is well-placed to benefit the growing need for parents wanting natural products for their kids,” added Alicia Vogles, haircare buyer at Chemist Warehouse.
