From prank to product: Burt’s Bees ranch-flavoured lip balms return

From prank to product: Burt's Bees ranch-flavoured lip balms returns

Burt’s Bees and Hidden Valley Ranch has restocked its range of savoury-flavoured lip balms, which began as an April Fool’s prank last year.

The lip balms are available in four flavours: Ranch, Buffalo Sauce, Crunchy Celery, and Fresh Carrott.

While the brands admit that ranch may not be a typical flavour for a lip balm, they said the collab gave consumers a fun spin on their favourite everyday products.

“This all started with an April Fool’s social post featuring Hidden Valley Ranch lip balm,” shared Mariah Eckhardt, GM at Burt’s Bees.

“Fans responded enthusiastically, so for an exciting, limited release, we’re bringing together two fan favourites – Burt’s Bees lip balm and Hidden Valley Ranch. This delightfully unexpected union comes just in time for dry lip season and game day.”

The brand’s balms were restocked immediately after April Fool’s this year, as they had sold out shortly after their launch in January.

Burt’s Bees x Hidden Valley Ranch Dippers lip balm four-pack is available on the Burt’s Bees website for $11.99 while supplies last.

Hidden Valley Ranch is an American brand of salad dressing established in 1954 by Steve Henson. Founded in 1984, Burt’s Bees is a skincare brand known for its thoughtful packaging and use of beeswax as the primary ingredient in its products.
