Administrators sell HS Fresh Foods to rival

(Source: Sunfresh Salads/Facebook)

HS Fresh Food Group will be sold to PM Fresh Foods, with settlement expected to be completed by July 31.

The sale comes after the Tasmania-based salad supplier entered voluntary administration last June 14.

The group appointed FTI Consulting’s Ben Campbell, Joanne Dunn and Vaughan Strawbridge as voluntary administrators, who will continue to operate the businesses until completion of the sale.

HS Fresh Food Group’s businesses include HS Fresh Food, HS Fresh Food Holding, HS Fresh Farms and HS Salads.

The administrators have yet to communicate the final number of employees to be offered employment under the sale.

The administrators expect to determine the number until transition plans have been finalised over the next three weeks.

The company’s brands include Houston’s Farm, Sunfresh, Gourmet Selections, and HS Fresh Farms.

PM FResh Foods currently has more than 1000 employees nationally servicing the retail, foodservice and QSR markets.
