Umami Pantry launches ready-to-use Japanese Sauces

Australian-made sauces brand Umami Pantry is adding a new ready-to-use Japanese sauces line to its existing range of umami-inspired pantry staples.

Made with a base of miso paste, the Japanese sauces range features two options – Miso Glaze and Teriyaki Sauce. The company said the launch responded to growing demand in the Japanese cuisine category.

“With Australians’ increasing interest in gut health, immunity-boosting foods and fermentation, miso is gaining popularity as the latest must-have superfood,” the company said in a statement.

Umami Pantry’s new range will be available online as well as in specialty grocers, restaurants, and cafes nationwide through the brand’s network of Australian distributors. The new sauces are available in a 300ml retail glass bottle, with foodservice sizes available in 1L and 15L bottles.

Made in Tasmania, Umami Pantry’s products use 100-per-cent Australian ingredients where possible. The glass bottles and lids are recyclable and the sauces themselves are vegan, and free from gluten and added ‘nasties’, including sugar.
