Society Pass signs up to source WA agri-food products for Asia

Western Australia’s government’s strategic export partner, The GrowHub, has joined hands with the loyalty and data-focused platform (SoPa) to provide agri-food products to 1.6 million registered consumers across Asia.

Through SoPa’s e-commerce platform, customers across Vietnam and the Philippines now can purchase more than 40 types of products from WA producers, including honey, oat milk, wine, beer, and barley. The Singapore-based agri-tech company is also developing its own brand name products for export to Southeast Asia.

CEO and founder of The GrowHub, Lester Chan, said the partnership is an extension of the company’s strategy to expand into other markets, in line with the company’s focus on food sustainability.

“As consumers in Southeast Asia are increasingly looking for environmentally friendly and sustainable food source options, we can ascertain this with our blockchain e-commerce platform and allow them to shop with confidence,” Chan said.

The GrowHub manages the innovation centre in the Western Australian Food Innovation Precinct which serves as an accelerator platform for innovative start-up companies across Australia, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

“This partnership allows us to expand our food and beverage product offerings,… whilst ensuring our loyalty platform simultaneously maintains their affordability and accessibility,” said Dennis Nguyen, founder, chairman, and CEO of Society Pass.

“The goal is for Society Pass and The GrowHub to become the go-to platforms in Southeast Asia for premium food products.”
