Sydney-based Homart Group is to buy New Zealand vitamin brand Thompson’s Herbals and Australian essential oils brand Thursday Plantation.

Homart said the two brands will enhance its operation scale in the Australian and New Zealand markets, with this year’s pro forma revenue expected to exceed $100 million after the acquisitions.

“This significant development aligns with our strategic vision to expand our domestic brand presence by acquiring a company with deep roots in Australia and New Zealand through their well-known brands, which are recognised for their quality and heritage,” said Homart Group MD Jeffrey Yeh.

By incorporating the brands into its portfolio, the company aims to expand its market share, introduce new products, and enhance its competitive edge in both the local and international markets, Yeh added.

Established in 1992, Homart sells health supplements, skincare, and functional dairy products under twelve owned brands: Spring Leaf, Top Life, Health N Nature, Autili, Ausvita, Cheri, Little Innoscents, GrandPawPaw, and Petmima.

The firm plans to list on the ASX next year and aims to build a fully integrated ecosystem that provides health and wellness. It has a global presence in ANZ, Greater China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North America, and the EU.

Thompson’s Herbals and Thursday Plantation were previously owned by Australian healthcare group Integria.
