Westfield Study Tour calls for retailers

w15Bookings are still available for this year’s Westfield World Retail Study Tour which will visit five innovative retail cities including New York, London, Berlin, Tokyo, and Amsterdam for the first time.

To take place over 17 days from May 3 2015, tour attendees will be given exclusive access to leading retailers and retail experts, plus behind the scene tours of retail environments.

The Westfield World Retail Study Tour will hear from more than 50 speakers, who will share their strategies, insights, and learnings into the latest themes impacting retail such as building team culture, leveraging technology to understand and engage customers, delivering exceptional customer service, and the latest trends in store design and visual merchandising.

Attendees will also visit hundreds of stores, including private tours, and share countless stories and observations with like minded retail passionates.

The cities:

New York

Always buzzing, New York constantly over delivers. From the city’s world famous Fifth Avenue, home to the who’s who of the fashion world, to Soho’s charming neighbourhood filled with trendy designers and boutique retail.

Tour Delegates will also visit Brooklyn to experience the re-emergence of American retail including custom made denim store, Loren; artisan chocolate factory, Mast Brothers; and Brooklyn Winery.

London

Home to Harvey Nichols, Burberry’s flagship store, and the iconic Oxford and Regent Streets, Covent Garden, and Borough Markets, as well as the landmark Westfield London and Stratford City.

Berlin

Berlin is a collision of old and new, with its stunning architecture and a huge variety of cutting edge,  such as premium department store, KaDeWe; and Bikini Berlin, the world’s first concept mall offering a collection of carefully curated and compatible boutiques, concept and flagship stores, and gastronomy and service providers.

Toyko

From Ginza to Harajuku, Tokyo re-defines what retail can be, with the Sony Store, Yohji Yamamoto, Prada, Dior, Giorgio Armani, and Aoyama.

The tour will visit AEON, the most sustainable shopping mall; and Isetan the highest turnover department store in the world; as well as Tokyo’s shopping mecca and centre to Japan’s most extreme teenage cultures and fashion styles, Harajuku.

Amsterdam

This year the world tour will visit Amsterdam for the first time, which features a unique mix of multi-storey department stores, exclusive boutiques lining the quaint Herenstraat and Prinsenstraat, and is home to global brands such as Phillips, Shell, and Unilever.
