One of Australia’s largest almond companies has struck a five-year deal with beverage giant PepsiCo.
Select Harvests will supply Lucky nuts, seeds and mixed products to PepsiCo’s Chinese division, which will handle marketing, sales and distribution.
Mark Eva, Select Harvests general manager – consumer, said entering the China market in partnership with PepsiCo is “extremely exciting” for the business, which already exports to the Middle East, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
“This allows Select Harvests to participate in the increased consumption of plant-based foods, nuts and seeds in China which is accelerating as consumers become more affluent and knowledgeable about the nutritional benefit of nuts and seeds,” he said in a statement.
