DoorDash enters pet supplies category, teaming with PetStock

Food delivery service DoorDash has expanded into the pet supplies category in partnership with PetStock.

Aussies can now purchase pet products, including treats, meals, parasiticides, toys and accessories from PetStock, with delivery in as little as less than an hour. The service is available across metro and regional stores throughout Melbourne and Sydney.

“Australia has one of the highest pet-ownership rates in the world, with two thirds of households owning a pet, making our partnership with PetStock a huge win for many Aussies looking for convenient retail solutions,” said Chase Gardner, head of enterprise partnerships at DoorDash Australia.

“Being the first on-demand delivery platform to introduce a pet retailer to our marketplace in a fully integrated way marks a hugely exciting expansion to the DoorDash offering in Australia,” he added.

To mark the launch, customers will enjoy free delivery for each purchase of more than $25 until November 5.

“Giving customers access to PetStock products on-demand is a key part of the business’ digital transformation, which has been a big focus this year,” said Alex Carter, e-commerce manager at PetStock.
