Blume Prebiotic Tonic launches gut-friendly soda range

Australian beverage brand Blume Prebiotic Tonic has launched a gut-friendly soda range featuring prebiotics from plant fibres.

The brand’s Prebiotic Tonic is made with natural ingredients and contains 6g of diverse plant fibres such as acacia fibre, Jerusalem artichoke inulin and chicory root inulin to nurture the gut microbiome.

It contains 4-5 g of sugar and does not contain other sugar alcohol and is said to aid in healthy digestion.

“After struggling with my own gut issues from fibromyalgia and SSRIs, I created a gut-friendly soda with three of the best biome-supporting ingredients that would benefit everyone looking to nourish their gut microbiome in a delicious way,” said founder Rachel Castelino.

“So during lockdown, I got to work and began the process of formulating the beverages alone from my kitchen in Sydney.”

Blume Prebiotic Tonic comes in two flavours – Raspberry Lime and Mango – and is primarily stocked in NSW and South Australia in premium grocers, cafes, restaurants and online.
