Baking and confectionery platform Just A Crumb has introduced chocolate cookies made from leftover cake off-cuts and edges sourced from Australian bakeries, helping to reduce food waste in the country.

With a frosting-covered and crumbly texture, the Hedgehog Slices are made with a chocolate base, topped with chocolate and colourful sprinkles.

“Our mission is to make incredible sweet treats accessible and enjoyable, while also making a positive impact on food waste,” said Simon Shuster, Just A Crumb’s spokesperson.

In partnership with local bakeries, the company offers a wide range of sweet products, including cake offcuts, slices, and cookies, and provides online ordering and delivery services across specific regions.
