UK beauty retailer, The Body Shop, has appointed Mike Jatania as its CEO as the company focuses on growth.
Jatania has served as the brand’s executive chairman since late last year when he acquired the company out of administration through his investment platform, Aurea.
He will take the role over from Charles Denton, who helped set the brand back on course and played a crucial role in shaping its revival.
“Under Charles’ leadership we have stabilised the business, and we launch into the next chapter from a position of strength,” said Jatania.
“I am looking forward to working even more closely with the team to accelerate growth, serve our customers with renewed purpose, and ensure the brand stays relevant to both existing and future generations,” he added.
Denton said that it had been “a privilege to help set The Body Shop back on course and to play a part in shaping its revival.”
“I want to thank the team for their extraordinary commitment, and I leave knowing the business is in good hands for the journey ahead,” said Denton.
The Body Shop recently relocated its headquarters to Brighton, where the brand had launched its first ever store nearly 50 years ago.
