New Foodstuffs loyalty program excludes Pak’nSave purchases

It will replace the current New World Clubcard scheme

Foodstuffs North Island has announced a new loyalty program across New World, Pak’n Save, and Four Square, in what it calls a “major milestone” in the systems merger with its South Island counterpart.

The ‘Club+’ program will allow customers to use reward points across the cooperative’s brands.

But customers, Foodstuffs said, will not be able to accumulate said points at its Pak’n Save stores. The company said this was because Pak’n Save “continues to focus on delivering low prices”.

“We know more than three-quarters of customers regularly shop at more than one supermarket,” Brendon Lawry, acting chief customer officer of Foodstuffs New Zealand, said.

“Club+ is designed to reflect those changing shopping habits by giving people a single rewards and savings program they can use across Foodstuffs brands, so the value and benefits travel with them wherever they choose to shop.”

The program will be integrated into all of the brands’ apps; it will replace the current New World Clubcard scheme.

“It’s about making it simpler for customers to access relevant savings and benefits through one card, while also creating a more personalised experience over time,” Lawry added.

“The program is easy to join, and we’d encourage customers to join early so they’re ready to start scanning and saving from launch day on June 15.”
