New Zealand-based, family-owned wine company Poulter Family Wines has acquired eight brands from leading US liquor giant Constellation Brands.
The deal – which remains subject to conditions – includes Selaks, Little Harvest, and The People’s Wine and will see a number of New Zealand wine brands returning to local control.
Constellation will continue to operate its flagship Kim Crawford brand in New Zealand, along with Drylands, Nobilo, and Monkey Bay. A representative of Constellation Brands said the focus is now on growing its remaining brands in the country.

With more than 100 products in its portfolio, Poulter continues to centre its ongoing business growth on its core New Zealand operation. With 900ha of vineyards across its Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough sites, Poulter’s most recent acquisition was Sacred Hill winery in 2022.
