Winery Haselgrove has announced a leadership transition, appointing a new CEO and chief winemaker to oversee its domestic and export operations.

The winery has appointed Marcus Carey, an industrial specialist and beverage executive, as its new CEO. Carey joins Haselgrove with extensive experience in operational scaling, supply chain management, and commercial strategy within the agricultural and beverage sectors.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving Haselgrove’s commercial growth strategy and expanding the brand’s distribution footprint in both Australian and international markets.

In addition, the company has appointed industry veteran Peter Dawson as its chief winemaker. Dawson brings decades of experience to the position, having previously directed production programs for major Australian wine brands.

At Haselgrove, Dawson will manage all aspects of grape growing, harvest selection, and production operations, with a specific focus on maintaining the quality profile of the company’s premium regional products.

These leadership changes come as Haselgrove aims to accelerate its market presence following recent vineyard investments and facility upgrades. Both executives will assume their respective roles immediately, ahead of preparations for the upcoming production cycle.
