Australian Vintage appoints directors

https://insidefmcg.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1188234_24691010.jpgAustralian Vintage has appointed Naseema Sparks and John Davies to its board following the resignations of chairman, Ian Ferrier, and Brian McGuigan.

Sparks has previously worked at advertising business, M&C Saatchi, and was chairperson of the Deals Direct Group. Davies joins the board following a 36 year career with Ernst & Young. Davies was elected to Ernst & Young’s Asia Pacific Board of Partners for a six year period until his retirement in 2011. During his career, he provided professional services to many leading wine companies in Australia, and also owns his own commercial vineyard.

“There will be a transition between the two new directors and the two retiring directors over a period of approximately six months,” the company said.

“This will allow the new directors to benefit from the significant knowledge and experience of the retiring directors. The increase in the number of directors from five to seven will only apply during that transition period.”

“The board is very pleased that Naseema and John have consented to be a part of the Australian Vintage board,” Ferrier said.

“Naseema brings to the board significant experience in marketing and advertising and John has a strong financial background and a passion for the wine industry.”
