IGA’s exclusive ready meals win award

Appetite for Healthy2Metcash has announced its ‘Appetite for Healthy’ won the Best Ready Meal of the Year at the Annual Australian Food and Beverage Industry Awards.

Creative Food Solution’s ‘Appetite for Healthy’ Roast Chicken and Slow Cooked Beef Steak is sold at IGA supermarkets. Both meal ranges took the first place award during the event.

“We are delighted with this result and to be able to exclusively stock this year’s Best Ready Meal at IGA supermarkets. Winning this award in association with Creative Food Solutions is a first for the team,” said Algy Pereira, Metcash executive general manager of merchandise.

“Shoppers love this range and we continue to see consumer demand for quality ready to eat

All ingredients are sourced from Australia’s finest farm and produce suppliers. The ready meal ranges were designed by in-house chefs, which are prepared with freshness, tenderness and authentic flavours to taste.

All entries were marked on quality of the product. The ‘Appetite for Healthy’ range is exclusive to IGA. The supermarket carries Roast Chicken, Slow Cooked Beef Steak and Rosemary Lamb Shanks meals.
