Food delivery app adds parcels to the menu

Drive-YelloWoolworths and BWS are among the retailers using Yello Delivery, a new last-mile delivery service from on-demand food delivery business, Drive Yello.

Rolling out across major metro areas, the app gives businesses immediate access to Drive Yello’s network of couriers, providing same-day delivery on everything from gifts to flowers to groceries and beyond.

To use the app, businesses simply post a courier request to on-demand driver and rider marketplace to receive an instant quote and estimated time of pick-up.

Founder Steve Fanale said Yello Delivery was designed to meet the ever-evolving demands of the retail market.

“We have recognised a huge need to help the broader retail community – our new user-friendly app will support businesses by reducing their delivery times and management costs through a reliable crowd-sourced workforce. We are already partnering with major retailers such as Woolworths and BWS with this new on-demand service,” he said.

“[It] provides a practical way for businesses to offer an express same-day delivery service to their customers – helping grow their competitive edge over the likes of national online vendors and delivering a convenient shopping experience to consumers.”

The app represents a strategic shift for the business, which made a name for itself in the on-demand food delivery space, partnering with leading brands like Menulog, La Porchetta and McDonald’s to streamline their delivery service.
