Heinz to attempt world record at 150th anniversary

HEINZ MASCOTSKetchup brand Heinz is celebrating its 150th anniversary at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne tonight.

“150 years is a big achievement and we wanted to celebrate in a big way,” Simon Laroche, CEO of Kraft Heinz Australia, said.

“Collingwood have the best sounding fans in the game and we are inviting them to try and make history with us.”

Heinz partnered with Collingwood Football Club to become the “Official Sauce of the Hot Pies” earlier in 2019. Football fans will get to try the Heinz products at the Marvel Stadium tonight.

The iconic food brand will attempt to hit a world record at the event by having the most people to sing “Happy Birthday” in one venue to mark the FMCG giant’s 150th years in the business.

Collingwood Football Club chief executive Mark Anderson said the team jumped at the chance to get involved with the celebrations.

“Our football club is 127 years old this year so we will look to get some some tips on what to expect when we reach the 150 year milestone!” Anderson said.

MC Brody Young will lead the crowd as it tries hit the record during the end of the first quarter of the football game.
