WW adds chef-created ready meals range

Weigh Watchers Woolworths

WW, the new Weight Watchers, has developed a new range of chef and nutritionist created chilled ready meals.

Launched yesterday, the WW Healthy Kitchen range options are ready to eat in 3.5 minutes and consist of six meals that have either a 4 or 4.5 Healthy Star Rating.

“In our busy lives, we often run out of time or inspiration to prepare a healthy lunch or cook a wholesome dinner,” said Dr Michelle Celander, director of program and science at WW in Australia and New Zealand.

“Our WW Healthy KitchenTM range takes the stress out of mealtimes with options that you can trust to be not only quick but tasty, satisfying and nutritious – words which you don’t often associate with convenience.”

The range has no artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives and is cooked using the Sous Vide technique – a process of vacuum-sealing food and cooking it to a very precise temperature in a water bath, providing a tender, juicy and flavoursome result. All meals are also gluten-free.

Retailing at $10 each, the WW Healthy Kitchen range will be available at over 800 Woolworths stores across Australia.

I've had the roast beef several times and it's delicious. Tried the roast chicken and while the chicken was tasty I found, because the chicken has to be heated thoroughly the mash became a bit stodgy. Maybe have roast or boiled spuds with that one. I've just had the mustard steak which was really nice, steak tender and veges lovely, sauce a bit thin though, didnt stick to anything. Small criticism. reply
