AuMake records fastest sales growth in supplements at 618 festival

Daigou-focused retailer AuMake came out on top of the supplements category at JD.com’s annual 618 shopping festival last month, recording the fastest sales growth globally in the category.

The e-commerce giant named featured AuMake’s store growth as Number 1 in a top 10 ‘best of’ list.

AuMake joined forces with JD Worldwide in December 2018 to create a new omni channel platform for Australian and New Zealand brands to reach Chinese customers.

Since the launch of AuMake’s JD store in March 2019, it has delivered an average monthly growth rate of over 100% to June 2019. The store features over 290 SKU’s of AuMake owned and less well known brands.

The retailer credits its close working relationship with JD.com in Beijing as a key contributor for the company’s strong growth, saying it provided “invaluable” marketing and product selection support.

The retailer is continuing to work with JD Worldwide to expand its reach and capitalise on the strong growth.

Last month the retailer revealed that online sales now make up 30 per cent of the company’s total sales, and are continuing to grow.

The daigou business reported an estimated $40-45 million in revenue for FY19, more than double the revenue it generated in FY18 of $21 million.
