Aussie food producer Brookfarm has launched a new organic cereal range for babies called Brookfarm Bloom.
The cereal is the first to introduce small quantities of tree nuts to children, with fine ground organic tree nuts and organic whole grains on the ingredients list.
The Brookfarm Bloom range is free of added sugar and preservatives and has three variants available, featuring ancient grains like amaranth and quinoa, freeze-dried fruits and tree nuts.
“With my kids, I wanted their first foods to be real food, but so much of what was on offer was essentially spray dried rice,” Brookfarm CEO, Will Brook, said.
“This started us down the journey of developing a baby food that isn’t spray dried, but uses whole food ingredients. Our kids deserve to eat real food, with real ingredients and real nutritional value.”
Brookfarm co-founder Pam Brook said the new cereal is designed to help build a babies’ palate.
“As adults, we don’t eat single ingredient foods, so why should our children? Bloom introduces well balanced flavours in the right way,” she said.
“We make the kind of food a caring parent would make themselves at home for their baby. Our recipes come from our family kitchen – like everything we’ve ever produced.”
