Coles Liquor has rolled out a new Tasmanian vodka, Pure Origin, that is distilled using a copper pot still. The supermarket said the liquor is refined, filtered using an active carbon and pure Tasmanian water.
Anthony White, head distiller of White Label Distillery, created Pure Origin vodka for Coles Liquor.
“Vodka is an extremely popular choice for our customers and in particular, small-batch spirits from local suppliers are more in demand than ever before. By working closely with Anthony White and this team, we’ve been able to create a premium, Tasmanian vodka that Australians can enjoy at home,” Coles general manager of merchandise, Brad Gorman said.
According to White, Tasmania’s untainted water plays a massive role in the distilling process for Pure Origin.
“Given the water used within vodka plays such a fundamental role in determining the taste of the finished spirit, Tasmanian water is the perfect choice for an exceptionally pure vodka,” said White.
“We’re incredibly proud to have collaborated with Coles Liquor to create a Tasmanian vodka that is available nationwide.”
Pure Origin Tasmanian vodka is sold for $55 per 700ml bottle and is available exclusively for Coles Liquor at its Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market stores. It is coming soon to Vintage Cellars stores across the country.
