7-Eleven to sell body scrub online made from coffee

7-Eleven is venturing into the beauty sector with the launch of body scrub made from coffee sold exclusively on e-commerce platform Adore Beauty.

Dubbed 7-Eleven Coffee Body Scrub, the product is made from the same Arabica and Robusta beans found in freshly-ground coffee sold at the chain. The company said the body scrub is 100 per cent naturally derived, vegan and cruelty-free.

Head of marketing communications at 7-Eleven, Adam Jacka, said 7-Eleven Coffee Body Scrub is an “innovative way” to showcase the quality of the coffee.

“Seriously, our coffee beans are so good we’ve made a coffee scrub out of them!”

Australian actor Olympia Valance was chosen as the face of the new product. Produced locally in Australia, the limited-edition body scrub is sold at RRP$1.
