Nutricare launches hypoallergenic plasters for kids

Healthcare company Nutricare has unveiled a range of hypoallergenic, non-toxic, sustainable plasters for kids.

The Patch Kids plasters are available in a variety of animal designs such as Elephant, Lion, Panda and Unicorn. Each plaster tube comes with 25 strips that are made from sustainable bamboo. They retail for $6.99 and are suitable for all skin types.

James Dutton, the CEO of Patch and Nutricare, developed the product after his youngest son developed an allergic reaction to the adhesive on common plaster.

“When researching the wound care market, I realised that these kinds of allergies were really common, affecting around one in four people worldwide,” he said.

Since its inception in 2017, the brand is now available in 40 countries in over 35,000 stores worldwide. According to the company, it is the world’s first natural and biodegradable bamboo-based wound-care solution.

The brand’s other products are stocked at Terry White Chemmart, Coles, Woolworths, Officeworks, Flora & Fauna and selected health and independent stores.

The Patch Kids plasters can be bought from select independent stores and from the Nutricare website.
