Reese’s and Oreo have joined forces to release two co-branded products in the US: The Reese’s Oreo Cup and the Oreo Reese’s Cookie.
Michelle Deignan, VP of Oreo US, said the launch was driven by strong consumer demand for the combined flavours.
“This collaboration redefines what it means to be a snacking leader by tapping into exactly what our fans are asking for,” said Michelle Deignan, VP, of the Oreo brand, US.
The Oreo Reese’s Cookie features Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies filled with Reese’s peanut butter creme blended with Oreo cookie crumbs. Reese’s Oreo Cup combines milk chocolate and white creme peanut butter cups with Oreo cookie crumbs.
“At Reese’s, we’re obsessed with pushing the boundaries of what chocolate and peanut butter can become,” added Dan Mohnshine, VP, US confection marketing, at The Hershey Company.
“When we heard the incredible demand for a Reese’s and Oreo mashup, we knew we had to make it happen.”
The Reese’s Oreo Cup will be available for presale on The Hershey’s Store from August 18. It will roll out nationwide in September in King Size, Standard Size and Miniature Cups as a permanent addition to the Reese’s portfolio.
The Oreo Reese’s Cookies will also be available for presale from August 18. The cookies will launch nationwide in September for a limited time before joining Oreo’s permanent portfolio next year.
