Nestlé Australia has been named Supplier of the Year at Metcash’s annual supplier awards.

Nestlé Australia’s head of independent grocery, Coral Grace, said that through the company’s strategic partnership with Metcash, it has been able to help champion successful independent retailing, driving strong results two years in a row.

Scott Marshall, Metcash Food CEO said every single one of the company’s suppliers deserves recognition and those who bagged an award that night truly ‘embody the spirit’ of retail success.

Apart from suppliers, several key charities also supported the event. Metcash will be passing on $126,408 to three long-term charity partners – Special Olympics, the McGrath Foundation, and the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

The awards, hosted by journalist and co-host of Today Extra, Sylvia Jeffreys, recognise and acknowledge a range of independent suppliers who support the retail network Metcash wholesales to.
