Plant-based protein and health food company Amazonia is set to open a 1450sqm research and development centre next month in Gold Coast, in line with its global expansion plans.
Dubbed ‘Innovation Hub’ – the new facility will help the brand grow its global footprint and expand its product range.
Dwayne Martens, Amazonia’s founder, said the site will facilitate “sustainable experimentation” with plant-sourced superfoods.
“Our new innovation hub will become the global headquarters for our growing team, as well as the place where we innovate with plant-sourced nutrition to develop new ways to supplement with nutrient-dense products.”
The company has developed more than 70 products since its inception in 2008. It now boasts brands such as Raw Protein and Supplements, RawFIT, and Tender Jack.
The new centre will help the business expand into Asian markets with new products planned for launch next year.
The business says it is a leading supplier of plant-based supplements in South Korea and one of the largest suppliers of frozen acai in Europe, the UAE, and Australia.
