Coles says it will “drop and lock” the prices of more than 300 essential items until after Easter.
A survey of more than 7500 Coles customers found 82 per cent were making changes to their grocery shopping due to the rising cost of living. About 57 per cent were buying more on discounts while 51 per cent were cooking from home.
Leah Weckert, Coles’ chief executive of commercial and express, said the extensive list of popular products would help households save when entertaining this summer.
“We understand many Australian households are feeling the pinch following Christmas and by dropping and locking the price of hundreds of popular and essential items we are honouring our commitment to helping Aussie budgets go further,” said Weckert.
She added the latest round of Dropped and Locked doubles the number of products compared to the campaign’s first phase which is valid until January 31.
Additionally, the retailer says customers will benefit from both Dropped and Locked campaign prices due to the overlap in timings.
