Three new limited-edition hot cross buns – Special Burger Sauce, Red Velvet, and Carrot Cake – join the Coles Eater lineup this year.
The Coles Special Burger Sauce Hot Cross Buns are infused with its burger sauce, filled with pickles and topped with a layer of cheese; the Coles Red Velvet Hot Cross Buns are filled with sweet cream cheese frosting; while the Coles Carrot Cake Hot Cross Buns are flavoured with fine pieces of carrots a cream cheese centre for “added indulgence”.
The new buns follow the successful launch of Coles Bakery’s Vegemite and Jalapeno Cheese hot cross buns launched last Easter.
Kate Roff, GM for Bakery at Coles, said the business is always looking for ways to excite customers with quality and innovative products.
“Each year we try to tap into new flavour trends to give customers a fun, modern twist on a hot cross bun,” said Roff.
“Our amazing bakery team have spent months fine-tuning and taste-testing these new hot cross buns to ensure the flavour is just right, and we’re confident our customers will love them just as much as they enjoy our traditional range of delicious buns.”
The limited-edition Coles Special Burger Sauce Hot Cross Buns are RRP$5 for a 4-pack, and Coles Red Velvet and Carrot Cake Hot Cross Buns are RRP$6 for a 4-pack.
