Sydney Fish Market (SFM) has appointed Craig Davison as chair, replacing Grahame Turk who stepped down in January.
Of his appointment, Davison said he is joining the team at such a “transformational time”.
“Sydney Fish Market has both a rich history and a dynamic future ahead of it. I’m looking forward to working with the board and our shareholders to recognise the incredible potential of our new site whilst leveraging our position as a leader in the seafood industry.”
Davison brings a range of experience from across industries including security, media, pharmaceuticals, medical research, and the logistics industries.
He will continue in his role as CEO of global logistics company DB Schenker, while chairing the SFM board.
Last September, SFM launched an online seafood marketplace called SFMblue aimed at improving seafood trading using technology.
