Jack Daniel’s unveils limited-edition McLaren whiskey bottle

Jack Daniel's unveils exclusive limited-edition McLaren whiskey bottle

Whiskey label Jack Daniel’s has launched a limited-edition McLaren Racing bottle to celebrate its partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 team – with only 2000 cases available nationwide.

The first in a series of exclusive releases, the limited-edition McLaren x Jack Daniel’s will be available only in select markets worldwide and will feature unique packaging to commemorate each brand’s pioneering founders – New Zealander Bruce McLaren and Jack Daniel.

Oliver Maruda, co-founder of online whiskey retailer, The Whiskey List, said that despite the small population, Australia is the third-largest importer of US whiskey, and there has always been “serious demand” for brands like Jack Daniel’s.

“This unique collaboration between Jack Daniel’s and McLaren gives whiskey and F1 fans a great opportunity to pick up a bottle to drink now and another to collect for the future,” she continued.

“Given that this bottle is a limited-edition offering, it’s highly likely to rise in value in the years to come.”

Emily Nget, brand manager at Jack Daniel’s Australia, added that the limited-edition bottle would give fans of both brands another reason to celebrate, owning a piece of brand history in a bottle.

The limited-edition 700ml bottle will include Jack Daniel’s classic Tennessee Whiskey grain bill of 80 per cent corn, 8 per cent rye, and 12 per cent malted barley, bottled at 80 proof (40 per cent ABV).

It will be available at Liquorland, Dan Murphy’s, First Choice, Boozebud, and other independent retailers at an RRP of $80.
