Endeavour Group saw its sales rise 2.1 per cent to $3.09 billion in the first quarter of FY24, thanks to strong performance in both its hotel and retail segments.
The BWS and Dan Murphy’s operator witnessed retail sales jump 1.9 per cent to $2.54 billion, attributed to new products remaining a key driver of customer engagement and growth.
Hotel sales increased 2.8 per cent to $553 million as patrons gathered at the company’s venues for major sporting events and Father’s Day.
Endeavour Group noted that bookings at the end of the first quarter are already at 40 per cent of capacity across its 266 hotels nationwide that are celebrating Christmas Day events.
The company added that the second quarter is important for the business as it anticipates sales from Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Spring Racing carnivals.
