Global beverage brand Lion was named Supplier of the Year in the 2025 Australian Drinks Awards, for the first time since 2019.

Lion also won the Category Management award, Diageo won the Most Improved Supplier award, and Australian Vintage won the Supply Chain Management award.

The winners of the awards, sponsored by Advantage Australia, were determined by the Engagement Program facilitated by the Drinks Association’s Platinum Partner and Advantage Australia.

“The Supplier of the Year Award recognises excellence in engagement in the key business disciplines that make up best practice in liquor and it’s calculated by the highest score in the Drinks Association Advantage trade engagement program,” said Steve Andrews, MD of Advantage Australia and the presenter of the award.

The Contribution to Industry awards spotlighted organisations that made meaningful changes across the drinks industry, through either inclusion, sustainability or prioritising employee wellbeing.

Asahi Beverages won the awards for Best Wellbeing Initiative and Best Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative, while Australian Vintage took home the award for Best Environmental Sustainability Initiative.

A further 27 winners across the Most Reputable Brand, Best New Product Innovation and Best Brand Campaign categories were also announced at the ceremony.
