Diageo has appointed Sujay Wasan as president of its Apac division, effective August 15.
Wasan, who spent nearly 28 years at Procter & Gamble, most recently leading its North American Oral Care business, will also join Diageo’s executive committee and report directly to CEO Dave Lewis.
He fills the position previously held by John O’Keeffe, who earlier this year was appointed president and CEO of Diageo North America.
“We’re delighted that Sujay will be joining Diageo; he is a global leader with a proven track record of consistently delivering breakthrough business results,” said Lewis.
The appointment comes ahead of the company’s full-year 2026 financial results announcement, amid an ongoing restructuring of Diageo’s global leadership team under Lewis, who assumed the CEO role in January.
The Asia-Pacific market represents a major focus area for the producer of Johnnie Walker and Guinness, accounting for nearly 20 per cent of Diageo’s net sales.
In January, Diageo was weighing strategic options for its China business, including a potential asset sale, as it reviews its global portfolio.
