Peter West, VP and GM of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners’ Australia, Pacific, and Southeast Asia (APS) business unit, will retire at the end of this year, capping a distinguished 35-year career in the FMCG industry.

West joined Coca-Cola Amatil in 2018 as MD of Australian beverages and played a pivotal role in the integration of the APS region into CCEP following its acquisition in 2021.

“West’s contribution to CCEP in Australia and the broader region has been transformative,” said Damian Gammell, CEO of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.

“His deep understanding of the industry and landscape, along with his ability to drive growth across diverse markets, have made him a respected figure within our business and beyond.”

Before joining Coca-Cola, West held senior leadership positions at Lion Dairy & Drinks, Mars Confectionery, and Arnott’s. He will be succeeded on January 1 by Gareth McGeown, currently GM of CCEP Philippines.

“It has been a career highlight to work in Coca-Cola and be part of the expansion and growth of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners,” added West.

“It is exciting to be handing over the role to Gareth McGeown, who will bring his expertise, high energy and strong acumen to continue our growth journey in the region.”
