The Magnum Ice Cream Company has reported sales growth for the last fiscal year, driven by new product launches under its core brands.
The company’s revenue was €7.9 billion ($13.2 billion) in FY25, down 0.5 per cent, mostly due to the negative impact of forex translation. Organic sales, which excludes this effect, increased 4.2 per cent, reflecting volume growth of 1.5 per cent and price growth 2.6 per cent.
All three regions grew market share and contributed positively to organic sales, with Europe and ANZ up 3.3 per cent, the Americas up 0.8 per cent, and AMEA surging 10.9 per cent.
CEO Peter Ter Kulve said the company’s organic sales growth outperformed the global ice cream market.
“Our four leading brands, Magnum, Ben & Jerry’s, Cornetto and the Heartbrand, were the driving force behind our performance, with 150 new launches, including Magnum Utopia and Cornetto Max,” Kulve added.
The Magnum brand delivered high single-digit organic sales growth during the year, driven by the launch of Magnum Utopia across all regions and the further rollout of Magnum Bonbons.
Ben & Jerry’s recorded an over 3 per cent growth, fuelled by 25 new flavour and format combinations across pints, mini cups, sharing tubs, scooping and snackable bites.
Cornetto posted high single-digit growth, supported by the launch of the next-generation Max cone. The Heartbrand delivered low single-digit organic sales growth, driven by the Asian rollout of the Chinese multi-layer sticks.
On the bottom line, operating profit fell 21 per cent to €599 million, and net profit was down 48 per cent to €307 million. The decline was attributed primarily to higher separation and restructuring costs.
The Magnum Ice Cream Company previously separated from Unilever and began operating as a standalone company, with Unilever retaining a minority stake that would be sold down over time. The demerger process was completed as of early December.
For FY26, Magnum expects organic sales growth to be between 3 per cent and 5 per cent amid an uncertain external environment.
