Cooee Native Superfoods has secured placement in about 90 Foodland stores across SA, following the acquisition of the Adelaide-based Creative Native Foods.

The move introduces the brand’s 160gm family packs, featuring Nan’s Jam Drops with Davidson Plum, Choc-Chip, and Wattleseed, into an independent supermarket network.

“Foodland has always championed South Australian suppliers and independent brands,” said Franklin dos Santos, CEO of Foodland South Australia. “The addition of Cooee to our shelves gives our customers access to high-quality, locally connected products with a meaningful story.”

Cooee sources and processes native ingredients, such as wattleseed and muntries, within the state to support local employment.

“South Australia has become central to our supply chain and our story,” said Terri-Ann ‘Tezzi’ Daniel, founder and CEO of Cooee. “To now see Cooee on shelves across Foodland stores connects growers, makers and customers in the same state. That’s powerful.”

The expansion is part of a broader effort to rebuild partnerships with Indigenous growers and regional farmers.

“We want to build a supply chain that is authentic, sustainable and scalable,” she said. “Retail growth only matters if it flows back to the community. That’s what we are working towards.”
