Australian health and wellness company Tongala Nutrition has acquired Mable’s Dairy in a move expected to launch a national expansion.
Specialising in long-life milk, Tongala has been operating out of its dairy plant in Victoria for 100 years. Formerly owned by Nestle, the company was reacquired by entrepreneur Siddharth Jani in 2021 before beginning its expansion.
This expansion hit the headlines when, in April, the company was backed by a $1.5 million grant from the Victoria state government to support its manufacturing.
Now, its acquisition of Mable’s Dairy will see the specialty Australian cheese manufacturer join its ranks.
“We are proud to announce that Tongala Nutrition is now the official owner of Mable’s Dairy,” Tongala said in a statement. “A respected Australian brand with more than a decade of market presence and a strong reputation for premium dairy products.”
“This marks an exciting new chapter for Tongala Nutrition as we look toward growing the Mable’s brand and building on the quality and trust Mable’s has established over the years.”
