Swiss chocolatier Lindt & Sprüngli has launched its take on the ‘Dubai chocolate’ trend in New Zealand’s Lindt chocolate shops in Auckland’s Mānawa Bay and Queenstown, this October.
The Lindt Dubai Style chocolate block features a milk chocolate shell with a soft filling made from 45 per cent pistachios, nut brittle, and crispy Kadayif pastry.
“The combination of the rich, pistachio filling with the contrast of the toasted, shredded pastry is a true flavour sensation,” said Lindt master chocolatier Thomas Schnetzler.
The Dubai chocolate trend originated in 2021, created by Sarah Hamouda of FIX Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai.
It gained international attention after influencer Maria Verhera’s tasting video drew over 122 million views globally.
The Lindt Dubai Style chocolate will also be rolled out to select supermarkets across New Zealand.
