Archie Rose Distilling Co and co-owner Chris Hemsworth have launched a redesigned identity, custom bottle, and updated packaging across its core whisky portfolio as part of an expansion into global markets.
The refreshed line unifies three expressions: Single Malt Whisky, Straight Rye Malt Whisky (formerly Rye Malt Whisky), and the newly added Australian Original Whisky, under a single design framework created in collaboration with Glasgow-based agency Thirst.
The update follows Hemsworth joining Archie Rose founder Will Edwards as co-owner in August.
The lineup is fermented and distilled in separate malt streams, then matured in a combination of Australian fortified wine (apera), European oak, and American oak casks, while being produced at the distillery’s Sydney facility from locally sourced grain.
Designed to reflect the earth and soils where the grain is cultivated, the new flask-shaped bottle incorporates textured glass.
The updated bottle uses lighter glass, while the outer box was redesigned to lower total packaging weight.
The company says these changes improve freight efficiency and support sustainability goals under its certified B Corp status.
To support the release, Archie Rose is rolling out a global promotional campaign filmed across eight Australian locations. Produced by Hemsworth and directed by Justin McMillan, the film features Chris Hemsworth alongside his brother Luke.
The updated range is rolling out to major retailers, independent bottle shops, and venues across Australia. International distribution covering the US, New Zealand, Singapore, and select Asian markets begins this month.
