Indigenous-led snack brand Cooee Cookies has partnered with Health Food Symmetry (HFS), an Australian biotechnology company, to introduce a range of gut-healthy cookies.

The company says the collaboration, powered by PhytoBiome, a prebiotic product of HFS, will offer customers an allergen-free cookie range. It aims to roll the product out in rural Indigenous communities.

“Made in Australia from local high-quality produce backed by world-class research, we are sharing our scientific functional food capabilities on a national and international scale, an initiative that excites us both,” said Gordon Edwards, founder and CEO of HFS.

“With the addition of PhytoBiome, each cookie will now deliver clinically proven support for gut health, immune strength and metabolic balance, transforming a simple snack into a functional food with genuine health benefits,” said Edwards.

The gut-friendly range contains native ingredients, including Kakadu plum, wattle seed, lemon myrtle and finger lime.

He said the native ingredients are recognised for their high-antioxidant content and therapeutic potential, which support immunity and balance the digestive system.

“By partnering with Health Food Symmetry, we’re continuing to evolve our allergy-free snacks with the added benefits of improved gut and metabolic health without compromising on taste or culture,” said Terri-Ann Daniel, founder and CEO of Cooee Cookies.

Earlier, Blume rolled out gut-friendly drinks at Woolworths stores nationwide.
